Sun's Gift: Your Birthday Solar Cross Reading

"My experience with the images
is learning more about very delicate parts in my personality,
it is more about ideals and principles, or a sense
of what I believe is right and correct. I was dealing
with a young man here in Taos for a few days, we did
not get along very well, we were arguing - more correctly
I was giving him a hard time. Yesterday we had a long
talk, which upset me, and made me think about the
situation at night, in the morning, and mostly all
of the time. This morning I decided to write in my
diary, and then I remembered - and it hit me from
my second Image: Mothers going to the streets seeking
forgiveness and blessings for their children. I realized
that even though I was not actively working with the
Image, this idea, this thought, feeling or I don't
know exactly how to put words to it, is a big part
of the problem I was facing with this man. He has
rules for life, very strict rules, a place where I
tend to fall to very often, and then there is the
more "female" part in me seeking forgiveness,
light, and non-judgment. The Image explained a great
deal about it. I am still working on the second Image.

LIFE STUDY WITH WILLIAM BENTO
Just over seven years ago, at the age of 35 I did
my first full life study with William Bento. Since
then, each year, I have had an annual follow up meeting
with William to carry the threads of consciousness
further. This whole process has been an invaluable
one for me, where I could say that William's ability
to connect my own life questions, biographical events
and phases, and vocational striving with their cosmic
archetypes and sources has enabled me, in significant
measure, to better access and give space to my own
destiny path. All of this with the fullest respect
and care given to my freedom. Again and again I have

ANNUAL CONFERENCE "IN THE LIGHT OF SOPHIA"
Having attended the June 2004 Astrosophy Conference
I was deeply moved by the particular genius Star Wisdom
evokes. It is the matrix from whence the ensouling
of spiritual science commences. Once ensouled the
practical measures required to meet the challenges
of the times becomes clear. What a gift it is to build
from the big picture rather than groping in the dark
for solutions that may not in the long run reap benefits.
I am grateful to the conference presenters for their
careful research and find it a privilege to collaborate
with this wisdom on a day to day basis in all arenas
of life. This research becomes a beacon of light that
calls us all to remember who we are, where we came
from and how to find our way back home. Many thanks
to everyone who made this conference possible.

The Star Wisdom Conference held in Boulder last summer
was one of the most inspirational conferences that
I have been to in over 27 years of working with Anthroposophy.
I judge a conference not only by how thoroughly the
material was prepared and how well and clearly it
was presented, but also by how well the material truly
engaged the participants in a heartfelt and enthusiastic
manner.
It was also exceptional in the way it was set up
to be accessible to a wide range of people, some of
whom had only a very modest sense of Astrosophy, Anthroposophy
and esoteric Christianity, while others had pursued
in-depth studies of these fields for decades. Enjoyably,
much of the conference was interactive and included
movement, group conversation and the addressing of
questions and issues as they arose out of the participant's
experiences.
Rudolf Steiner made clear to us the importance of
Star Wisdom, and how we must rekindle in our soul
life a new and profound feeling for the world of the
stars enabling us to come to an experience of Sophia.
One sensed that the five presenters each embody an
active practice of star wisdom in their lives, which
lends an undeniable authenticity, clarity and authority
to their presentations.
I whole-heartedly recommend this conference, which
has continued to resonate both in me and in those
folks with whom I have stayed in touch.

born into a dimension of timeless wisdom. The combined

Eurythmy and Choreocosmos Dance
For most of my adult life, I have had a habit of
taking a pre-dawn walk or run at the time of the full
moon to some place where I have a clear view of the
eastern and western horizons, so that I might stand
between the disks of the rising Sun and the setting
Moon. With my arms outstretched, it feels like I am
holding these twin orbs in the palms of my hand, balancing
and weighing them, and experiencing their raying forces
within me.
Cosmic Dance affords this deep feeling of oneself
as the microcosmic image of the Macrocosm, going beyond
Sun and Moon to place into one's bones the other heavenly
wanderers, set against the awesome canvas of the zodiacal
constellations.

At first, I am dancing, feeling the forms, the gestures,
and the music, allowing them to work in me, and feeling
them working in me. Then after a while, as I become
more attuned, it is like I am not dancing any more,
but I am being danced! And sometimes I can even see
that others in the circle are being danced too, because
our movements are exactly synchronized, though perhaps
not only in time - but in some element that I can
almost see, and can certainly feel. It is like we
are moving in the same etheric current and are united
in it. It is quite a joyful, peaceful experience.
Cosmic Dance balances me in the fullest way. It makes
me feel more alive- more aware of others, including
the beings in nature. The cosmic dances of Leo and
the Sun are two of my favorites. Both of these enliven
my heart, though each in its own way. My heart has
softened, and opened. I see and feel more beauty in
the world. I am more grateful, compassionate, and
caring. But what is most intriguing is that it seems
as though my body is full of wisdom and that the cosmic
dances have put me in touch with that wisdom. I am
able to understand things on deep levels; dormant
capacities within me are awakening. But the ultimate
gift of Cosmic and Sacred Dance, one that I have been
given repeatedly by grace, is the experience of Divine
Sophia. Her Grace, her Strength, her Wisdom, is the
sweetest, most precious experience I could ever have.
My faith is growing.

Dancing the planets and the zodiac with Robert Powell
was a Holy experience. I was led through the music
and the movements into the inner essence of the cosmic
spheres resulting in a feeling of communion with the
archetypes and Beings indwelling the vast reaches
of space. The abstract idea of being a citizen of
the cosmos was brought into a living reality filled
with imaginations, inspirations and intuitions. I
felt myself participating with the wisdom of the stars
as I experienced heaven and earth graciously uniting
through my humble willingness to receive their light.
It is a gift to the world to bring this light into
the darkness of material existence for this is the
light of peace. I am grateful to Robert Powell for
his efforts on behalf of all peoples.

I am not a dancer, and need help to remember forward/backward,
right/left, and many other things! But after attending
a Choreocosmos workshop given by Robert last summer,
I couldn't stop dancing. Although at that workshop
we had danced the planets in Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius,
I was drawn to the dance of the Sun in Gemini, which
we had done in the workshop two years previously.
I would take the opportunity when alone at home to
push back the furniture and dance, sometimes several
times a day - at times trying other dances, but always
coming back to the Sun in Gemini - using a tape of
the music (Pachelbel's Canon) or else in silence,
recalling the music and imagining the whole dance
as I danced the sign and the planet in turn. After
about a week, as I danced, an unexpected and overwhelming
feeling I have not experienced before came over me.
It was as if my heart had softened and expanded, and
I was enveloped in wave after wave of warmth and love.
I sat down and gave myself up to experiencing this
feeling, which must have lasted for several minutes.
As the days passed, so did my need for this particular
dance - but I believe I am beginning to have a new
awareness, not only in myself, but also of the special
nature of these cosmic dances.
