Testimonials on 2005 Star Wisdom Conference

What remains living in my awareness is the light of pure joy that flowed out from the eyes of the presenters and permeated their voices and their gestures. I recognize this light and this joy as the inspiration of Divine Sophia. The quality of it is that of purity, and it is so precious that it brings tears to my eyes. Sophia is such a dear friend. To receive her grace is truly a blessing, and to find her radiating from others is even more of a blessing. Her light is healing. Her strength is my strength. To experience her in others is all I need to believe that humanity is progressing, and my faith deepens.

Yet without a doubt the story of the Holy Grail was a significant reason this conference was so inspirational for me. It comes for me at a time in which I am beginning to feel a moral presence in my speech, and feel ashamed that I lived so much of my life without it. The story is, for me, about morality in relationship, and our spoken words are a barometer of our morality. And oh how often we fail, but the story makes failure the rightful journey, and effort and consciousness the remedy. And hey, we are all in it together! We bear the grail for each other. That is the best part. (And the most difficult, at times, to remember.)

And of course, I knew the Grail was all about the stars - the big picture. But it will always be a mystery to me, and it is fine to let a mystery remain a mystery, and meanwhile have fun unraveling the unknown (and listening to Robert Powell unravel the unknown). Robert's lecture on the Grail was greatly illuminating, and served to validate my sense of being a cosmic citizen - a galactic being. And Oh! the Cosmic Dance of Eurhythmy was, as usual, an unforgettable experience for me. As I looked about the room, and saw what we were co-creating through the movement, my eyes teared at the beauty of it, and the potential of it. Etheric forms were billowing slowly upward to reveal a flower - always a flower. It revealed how precious humanity is, how sacred each individual is, how willing the spiritual world is to co-create with us, and how together we can bring about the future of goodness.

I feel blessed to have been part of this conference. I reap the benefits of immediate joy just by remembering it, and I look forward to seeing all of my new friends again next year.

Having attended the June 2004 Astrosophy Conference I was deeply moved by the particular genius Star Wisdom evokes. It is the matrix from whence the ensouling of spiritual science commences. The Star Wisdom Conference held in Boulder last summer was one of the most inspirational conferences that I have been to in over 27 years of working with Anthroposophy. I judge a conference not only by how thoroughly the material was prepared and how well and clearly it was presented, but also by how well the material truly engaged the participants in a heartfelt and enthusiastic manner.

It was also exceptional in the way it was set up to be accessible to a wide range of people, some of whom had only a very modest sense of Astrosophy, Anthroposophy and esoteric Christianity, while others had pursued in-depth studies of these fields for decades. Enjoyably, much of the conference was interactive and included movement, group conversation and the addressing of questions and issues as they arose out of the participant's experiences.

Rudolf Steiner made clear to us the importance of Star Wisdom, and how we must rekindle in our soul life a new and profound feeling for the world of the stars enabling us to come to an experience of Sophia.

One sensed that the five presenters each embody an active practice of star wisdom in their lives, which lends an undeniable authenticity, clarity and authority to their presentations.
