June 21-25, 2006

StarHouse

Presenters' Biographies
"Immersion" has the wonderful meaning of
dipping into the waters streaming through the
heavens, and being surrounded and permeated by them.
Then, as in a baptism, emerging anew.
Charts: Each person could please bring
their own chart, and perhaps also the chart of a
client. It is important that these charts be
sidereal, and preferably run by the AstroFire
program; we can arrange that charts are made for
each participant, and ready for the first day.
Detailed Schedule
(Thursday
day, 22 June, Friday day, 23 June, Saturday day, 24
June, and Sunday, 25 June, until 12:30 PM)
8:30 – 9:15
Chorecosmos (led by Robert
Powell), relating to the specific bodies, beings,
and dynamics that would be picked up in the subject
matter of the day. This is not a formal training in
choreocosmos, which can be had at various places
(including perhaps Boulder), though it uses elements
of choreocosmos as a resource for the topics of the
day. We shall work with the twelve signs of the
zodiac, based on Rudolf Steiner's "Twelve Moods." 9:30 – 10:45
Foundations (as in a Main
Lesson, each one led by one of the StarFire Research
Group), the most important foundation points of each
pillar of Star Wisdom, tailored to fit the way of
working later in the day. For each topic the
presenter would outline the twelve major points of
this pillar, and provide a simple bibliography,
including one recommended core book and a few other
references.
Thursday –
Astronomy - phenomenology of the physical universe,
facilitated by David Tresmer, Ph.D. and Sally Nurney
Friday – Astrology and Astrosophy
- the sould and spirit of the universe, facilitated
by William Bento Saturday
– Anthroposophy and Cosmic Christianity -
facilitated by Robert Powell, Ph.D. Sunday
– Overview of the entire field and what we have
accomplished and not covered - facilitated by Robert
Schiappacasse - review of the three pillars of this
work. 10:45 – 11:15 Tea interlude 11:15 – 12:30
Small group discussions of the
theme of the day (planner: Robert Schiappacasse,
staff: StarFire Research Group, each leading one of
the small groups). We would have different tracks
for beginners and for intermediates. Here we take
the content of the Foundations, and see how they
apply to our personal lives. 12:30 – 2:15
Lunch on site with emphasis on
the embrace of Nature. Rather than leave the area,
the luncheon interlude truly breathes the students. 2:15 – 2:30
Social re-engagement through
social forms (games) with our colleagues in this
work 2:30 – 3:45 Floor work, including Astrodrama
to demonstrate the dynamics spoken of in the
mornings – in the group as a whole, and in small
groups; e.g., first day, laying out oppositions in
students’ charts in the StarHouse star map. Thus
one learns through experiencing the concepts in
limbs and heart, as well as in head. 3:45 – 4:00
Interlude 4:00 – 4:45 Inner development (planner:
Robert Schiappacasse, staff: StarFire Research
Group), a key part of the immersion, as a means to
integrate the content of the day 5:00 – 6:00
Plenum for questions
(facilitator: rotating, staff: StarFire Research
Group all together to answer the questions of the
day) 8:00 – 9:30 Evening lecture

Evening
Lectures:
The lectures would introduce the foundation theme of
the next day so that students could sleep on it, in
the following proposed line-up. Note that Wednesday
evening is free, and the other lectures are public
lectures at Shining Mountain Waldorf School for a
fee, open to the public.
Wednesday evening, 21 June, “What
does Star Wisdom have to do with my life?” –
David Tresemer, Ph.D. Orientation to the upcoming course,
as well as introduction to the general community.
Emphasis on astronomy, as well as overview. Naturally,
this would include reference to the solar event of
summer solstice and some kind of active working with
that fact.
Lecture at Shining Mountain Waldorf School, 7:30 PM,
foyer of Festival Hall, free to participants in
Immersion, requested donation from others.
Thursday evening, 22 June, “What does Anthroposophy Contribute to the Study of Human
Destiny?,” Robert Schiappacasse
Lecture at Shining Mountain Waldorf School, 7:30 PM,
foyer of Festival Hall, free to participants in
Immersion, requested donation from others.
Friday evening, 23 June, “Beingness of the Cosmos - Astro-Sophia,”
William Bento on Astrosophia and Cosmic
Christianity.
Lecture at Shining Mountain Waldorf School, 7:30 PM,
foyer of Festival Hall, free to participants in
Immersion, requested donation from others.
Saturday evening, 24 June, “Cosmic
Christianity and the Earth” Robert Powell, Ph.D. The intention of the
cosmos is the divine human being.
Lecture at Shining Mountain Waldorf School, 7:30 PM,
foyer of Festival Hall, free to participants in
Immersion, requested donation from others.
Depending on time and weather, star gazing would
follow one or more of these evenings. Naked-Eye
Astronomy is a key part of our approach.
Cost: Sliding scale, based on ability to
pay. $600 (sliding to $400). Special prices
for teachers in Waldorf schools! Meal plan of very
simple and nutritious lunches, would be extra.
Some work exchange possible.
Any questions, please email
info@starwisdom.org
This design can be repeated annually, as both
beginners and intermediates will find ample teaching
to learn from. That is, each year the
structure would be the same, though the particular
slant on the presentation would change, so that a
person could, in fact, come again as a participant
and have a new and wonderful experience. This
is, indeed, how Jean Houston works with her Mystery
Schools, and people have repeated many times with
her, although much of the design and presentation
remains the same.
